Shopping with E's Mom

Rather strange one last night...

I was driving a silver corvette to the store, and pulled into the parking lot behind E's mom and her step-mom who were also in a silver car, but a sedan. The best place to park was right beside them, but I didn't want to do that, even though I've never met her mom. I thought it would be a bad way to start off. After pulling up beside them, I moved forward and parked in the next row. E's mom complained about me as a bad driver anyway. Then she and her step-mom went inside. The step-mom looked nothing like she really does, or even what I imagine that she does. She looked more like an aging lady NFL linebacker.

To get into the store you had to pass through a house. I followed after they'd gone in but stopped in the house. It was decorated in all wood and was downright cottage-y. I decided that this was the place where I'd fill out the horoscopes I was going to do. I was writing astrological symbols onto what were basically fliers and pamphlets. I recall the sun, leo and maybe mercury? This was something E and I did. We'd fill these out, different every month like newspaper forecasts and then leave them places for people to pick up. As I was doing this, a group of teens came in and saw what I was doing. I think they came up from the basement. Anyway, they thought it was cool and one girl started gushing about how great it was that I was doing this finally, she'd been waiting for the "next installment" to see what was going to happen. I remarked that we didn't even know if anyone read these things so I was happy that they were of meaning to her.

Then E's mom and step-mom came back through, having finished their shopping. Her mom bitched at me about something, taking up space...something...and her step-mom gave me that little "sorry" shrug, and they carried on out to the car. I felt bad, I knew that when I did really "meet" E's mom she'd freak because she'd remember me and bitch for days and disown E and stuff like that, but I also knew that there was nothing I could do about it either.

E and I agree, this was one whacked dream.

Packed and ready

In last night's dream, E and I were going somewhere. We were at the airport together for a trip somewhere, just the two of us. S was at the airport too, and she was going somewhere, but she was going alone to someplace different from where E and I were headed. And S was confused, like she didn't really know she was going anywhere, unaware that she was about to get on a plane and travel someplace. Her luggage certainly wasn't together.

E's was. I saw her with several well packed, neatly closed suitcases on a nifty little roller cart thingy with big wheels. I know I had a similar sort of setup with my luggage too. E was really excited and happy to be going and really looking forward to the trip. I was too. S seemed to be aware that E was there and I'm not sure but I think she knew that we were going somewhere, but she didn't seem to particularly care.

It was busy in the airport, and S came to talk to me, and E at the same time wandered off into the crowd to wait for me by the departure gate. S was talking to me about something, and whatever it was proved to me that she had no clue what was going on. I answered her and then I headed off to go meet up with E again...

Plaid and paid

This one started off outside. It looked a bit like York, north of the Ross building, near Steacie Science Library. Anyway, I met up with E, who was in a red plaid mini-skirt. (I know, obviously a dream). She was being very flirty and flipping up the tail of her skirt to show me her ass. Then she made a point to pull up on the waist of her panties to show them to me. They were white and had some sort of orange cartoon character on them.

Then we ended up at an office...it was like a combination bank/registrar's office sorta thing. We were there so you could change your payment schedule. I explained that to the lady at the desk, but she wasn't understanding exactly what it was you wanted to do. You were intending to reduce your payments from $110 a month by some amount, and you started to explain that, but then she produced a green hardcover book. Stuck inside the book was a document you'd put in to them weeks ago asking to *increase* your payments to $110 a pay. She apologized to you for not having processed it, and then added it to a pile to be processed. Then she handed you the book, since it was yours. It had a green cover with some sort of gold embossed drawing on it (a tree maybe?) and was a "spiritual learning" book that you'd loaned to her to read back when you'd put in the forms, which was how they'd been stuck in the book this whole time.

You were somewhat stunned at getting the book back, and at the increase in your payments, but at the same time you didnt' say anything to get them to change it either. I got the sense of almost resignation about it, that you were now stuck with your accellerated payments and that was that. You might have even said "well at least it'll pay my debt off that much sooner" (which sounds very you really). Oh, and I was standing there the whole time with my arm around your waist, and I think your arm was across my shoulders.

The dream was very explicit on the whole $110 thing too. The number stuck with me quite solidly. And the whole "debt" thing...it was explicitly a debt you were paying off.

Watch that Elephant!

Short one last night.

I was on the phone with E. She was in Florida on a campus of some sort and was telling me about how there was an elephant falling from the sky. It was quite the way up, since she had so much time to tell me about it. We were laughing and joking. I asked if she should hang up with me and call someone, but her reply was "no, by the time I told them it'd have hit already". So we kept joking about it, with me telling her to get under it and try to catch it. She was saying what a noise it was making, with a loud rumbling sound audible over the phone.

It was still falling when I woke up. Bet it made a hell of a bang when it hit!

The Split, and the Soldiers

Two that merged into one somehow.

The first had me out with E and D. I have no idea where S and the kids (or E's kids for that matter) were. It reminded me of when I was staying with E that time and we went out places, back when they only had the one kid. I think it was cool out, since I seem to remember us all in jackets.

We were at a coffee shop or something, but it also seemed like a living room. E and D were fighting about something, I didn't really know what, and he was challenging me to drive a toy tank across the living room, over top of little balls in the carpet. E somehow managed to really make D mad, and he left saying he didn't want her to come home with him.

E and I decided that she should stay at my place, with me, which somehow was where we were. I wasn't sure where S was, and I had the vague thought that I should ask her permission, but there was no way to so I didn't bother. E stayed the night (nothing happened) and the next morning we were sitting on the sofa and she was saying things like "Boy I could get used to this!" and "Wow that was a great idea" and stuff. I for some reason kept thinking that I had to tell my dad that basically I was living with E now.

Then this somehow all changed to....

A military camp. A field camp. I was with the Canadian army in Africa fighting some warlord type. We were supposed to be some sort of peace keepers but as usual we were under fire and taking casualties. There was also an NCO there in a red vest over his woodland BDUs, who was visiting from a British unit. I stole forward to look at the bad guys. They were beyond a wall and in some rubble a ways away. The cocky African warlord commander was sitting beside his mortar/howitzer and smiling behind his sunglasses as they lobbed shells at us. There was one of ours wounded on the wrong side of the wall, with a man helping to pull him in.

I suggested to the captain that we ought to put a bullet between the warlord's eyes and that the rest of his minions would scramble in that case. He agreed with me and we moved back into the camp. I thought we were going for a sniper, or maybe a rifle. No, the captain called up the 70mm field piece. They'd just assembled it and were starting to fire over open sights at the warlord's position when I woke up. The last thing I heard was the resounding *BOOM* of the gun as it went off, and it saw it rock back on it's wheels, and saw the smoke rising up from the discharge.

Too bad, I'd have liked to have seen what the effect was...though I can hazard a pretty good guess!

My ship comes in...

I was at a seaside bar of some sort. It was closed, but I knew the owner, and he and his staff were getting the place ready for opening later on. It was a nice place, all wood and seaside motifs. The wood was all done in battleship gray. Now, when I say it was on the seaside, I mean it was *on* the seaside. It was basically on a rocky point with waves crashing about five feet from the place where I was standing.

The weather was rough, but that was okay by me, I actually liked it. Not really a storm, but like that, sorta. I remember low clouds, and that greenish-yellow color to the sky, just like before a huge storm breaks. For some reason that didn't concern me in the slightest. I was actually sort of looking forward to the storm, I liked the idea of it.

I dropped some coins into a dispenser device above the bar, in order to get a pair of binoculars out. The owner said something to me like "hey you don't need to pay for those, we'll give you a pair". I told him that was okay, I didn't mind paying, but that I probably wouldn't return them as quickly as I was supposed to, if that was okay by him.

I trained the binoculars out to water where there were lots of boats going by. They didn't seem much concerned with the coming storm either, since there were so many and they all looked like they were open craft. I saw one in particular, it was an open steam launch, with a big brass and iron boiler amidships. There was a sailor in blue at the tiller as the launch chugged across my field of view. It might have even been raining at this time, but I'm not sure.

The water was going very fast. It was like a river, the way it was speeding the boats along in the current. Very soon the launch was gone from sight. So I turned my attention to the left, to the direction the current was coming from, so that I could see other boats coming. The green water was full of ships of various sizes and shapes, all speeding forward. Then I saw the one I'd been waiting for, without even knowing I was waiting.

It was a big ship, the biggest of the lot. And it was a ghost ship too. It was white, and glowing; misty and whispy. A square-rigged warship with at least three masts. I heard someone say "Look at that! And she's got ten sails all set!" I looked, and sure enough, there was a forest of masts all covered with yards and sails set. And while she was going fast, I knew that she was on her way to me, to the point where I was standing. It was my ship, coming in for me.

And that was it. I never did give the binoculars back...

Twofer

E and I were in a theatre of some sort...it was a stage theatre with footlights and a big red velvet curtain, very rich looking. I was (I think) in a tux, or at least in a suit, dressed up really well. E was in a creme/white dress (more of a gown really) with very nice gold accents, very classy and rich-looking. I almost suspect that we were at the opera.

As we sat there watching, this couple came in seperate doors at the back, and somehow (magically!) teleported to be in the middle of a row just ahead of us and off to the left. They were very well dressed too, tux for him and she was in a gown much like yours (possibly identical, ooo fashion fau pax! ;-). They sat down basically together and everyone started applauding. Someone said "but how can they be together?" and someone else replied "well there was an empty seat between them". I could sense? tell? know? that this was some sort of Romeo and Juliette coming togehter type thing. These two weren't supposed to be together, they'd been trying for ages and others had kept them apart, but now finally they were together.

Then there was a bit with Obama having some document or something that sparkled, and Hillary with a similar document but hers didn't sparkle the first time, she needed to do some sort of "zing" with it a second time to get her sparkle (like a firework or sparkler). But all was in good humor, everyoen including her even laughted at her lack of sparkles the first time.

E and I were getting off a bus downtown. We were dressed for work and it was just a regular work day. We were downtown to go to some meeting or other, or maybe it was one of those things at the congress centre or soemthing. Anyway, it was like 7:30am and *pitch* black. It looked more like midnight, and the streets were about that empty too. We were on Bank street (near the McD's at Sparks) and we were going to some sort of convenience store for something. E was leading the way, but we both knew what we needed to get and where we were going. I started asking E about the first dream and had I told her about it? No, E said, you didn't tell me that one. So I started telling her that dream.

E pulled on the door of the store and it was locked, and the store was dark and closed. Because of that we changed direction and went to Laura Secord's instead (always a good alternative eh?) In there, I was still telling E about the dream, until we saw S, who was not at all pleased to see us togther. I said "hi" to her and got into line, while E wandered off to look at chocolates I asked the clerk behind the counter if they sold "hand soap".. S confronted me and I walked away from her saying "nope, I'm not discussing this, it's done". She was buying two heart shaped boxes of chocolates (and I knew neither was for me). I got back into line, looking for my hand soap (I guess). S vanished, and E appeared at my side again. E said to me "do you have any idea why she doesn't like me so much". And as I was waking up I heard the echo of "not like I've done anything to her" from E....
